Internet of Things Security: Challanges and Issues
Keynote at 9th Central Area Networking and Security Workshop (CANSec), University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO, April 16, 2016
Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) is currently on the top of the hype cycle with investments from governments, corporations, and venture capital firms. The key areas of research in IoT will be explained with security being the prime inhibitor to IoT adoption. Several challenges in securing IoT will be presented. IoT has led to increased use of cloud computing and will soon lead to multi-cloud computing. We finish with brief discussion of our OpenADN project for managing such globally distributed multi-cloud applications.
